Prosecuted to Judgment a Breach of Contract and Labor Code Case

The Firm successfully prosecuted a breach of contract and Labor Code claim on behalf of a professional sports executive against his former employer resulting in a seven-figure arbitration award—as well as an attorneys’ fee award.  As part of this case, the Firm also successfully defended the ex-employer’s cross-complaint asserting breach of contract and fiduciary duty claims.  That cross-complaint sought a seven-figure compensatory damages—as well as punitive damages—against the Firm’s client.  The case was a binding JAMS arbitration held before a retired judge.
